The Corner Country lies within the Unincorporated Area of New South Wales with the historic township of Tibooburra being the major population centre to the north. The ghost town of Milparinka is 40 kilometres south of Tibooburra, and Packsaddle midway from Broken Hill. Cameron Corner, to the west, sits at the junction of the New South Wales border with South Australia and Queensland. MAP Sturt National Park surrounds Tibooburra and extends north and west to the dingo fence. Mutawintji National Park lies to the east. The balance of the land in the region is occupied as station country and leased from the Crown. This is an region of diverse outback landscapes covering some 55,000 square kilometres. Accommodation Catering Access Access to the region is generally through Broken Hill, with hire cars (4WD) available from several outlets. The Silver City Highway runs north towards Tibooburra and is mostly sealed. All other roads are unsealed. Air access is also available. Charter aircraft with still-photography capacity can be hired from Tibooburra, as well as charter services from Broken Hill.
